Yeongwol itineraries
Danjong's Yeongwol on foot
Catch the morning train from Cheongnyangni, ride the Cheongnyeongpo ferry before lunch, walk the town in the afternoon and be on the evening train home. No car needed to see the heart of Yeongwol.
River, stars, then a cave
By day, watch the river bend from the Hanbando and Seondol viewpoints; by night, look at stars from the top of Bongnaesan. Day two heads down the Donggang into Gossi Cave and on to Kim Satgat's valley.
Slow Yeongwol, out to the valleys
From a coal-mining village to a royal tomb, a cliff-top pavilion and a mountain temple on the Jucheon river, and a cave on the last day. Three or four stops a day and two nights at a riverside resort, so it works for parents and kids.
