Most Joseon royal tombs sit near Seoul, but Danjong's lies alone on a far hillside in Yeongwol. A short climb through trees brings you to the mound, and the noise drops away. It is part of the UNESCO-listed Joseon Royal Tombs. An hour is plenty for a slow walk up and back.
