A river-wrapped village and its one-plank bridge

The Naeseong stream loops almost all the way around this village. A single-plank bridge, about 30 cm wide, crosses the sandy bed and takes one person at a time. Tiled and thatched houses cluster beyond the sand, and a small shop and eatery sit in the village. If you meet someone halfway across, one of you has to back up.
