Seaside cliff temple with a giant Guanyin

Address
100 Naksansa-ro, Ganghyeon-myeon, Yangyang

A temple sits on a cliff pushed out into the East Sea. At the Uisangdae pavilion you hear the waves right beneath your feet, and the big Guanyin statue on the hill shows from far away. The paths inside keep hiding and revealing the sea. Sunrise is the favourite hour, so many people come early. It is the first stop on most Yangyang itineraries.
