Past the mountain gate, a stream-side path leads to a temple yard dominated by one enormous ginkgo. It is Natural Monument No. 30 and said to be around 1,100 years old. In autumn the leaves turn and the ground below goes entirely yellow. The temple itself is small and quiet, so you end up standing under the tree for a long time. The walk up from the car park is gentle.
