Wonju itineraries
Ganhyeon rails and cliff bridges
An hour from Cheongnyangni and no car needed. Ride the scenic train up and pedal a rail bike down, then spend the afternoon on Sogeumsan's swinging bridge and cliff walkway.
Chiaksan morning, Gamyeong night
Day one walks the pine path to Guryongsa and Seryeom Falls, then ends downtown with the dumpling alley and the lit-up Gamyeong. Day two you pull your own sheet of hanji and visit Park Kyongni's old house and vegetable patch. Trains and taxis cover everything.
Three days of Wonju by car
Start with Tadao Ando's museum and the cliff bridges, sleep at the resort, then the thousand-year ginkgo, hanji paper and, on the last day, Chiaksan's forest path and the Gamyeong in rented hanbok. One car ties together a city spread in every direction.
