A small islet off Jangjwa-ri was the base of Jang Bogo's Cheonghaejin fleet in 828. You walk out on a wooden footbridge of about 180 metres. A loop of the island takes no time, but old rampart lines and a shrine site remain, so you are standing on an ancient harbour. The best view is the water from the bridge.
