The beach is broad and the surf is gentle. About 500 metres out, Myeongseondo rises like a turtle shell, and at low tide a path opens so you can walk there. The water returns quickly, so plan your way back. A pedestrian-only bridge, Myeongseongyo, runs beside the island.
