The village rebuilds the old whaling port of Jangsaengpo. Low-roofed shops and lanes line the way, and many visitors put on school uniforms for photos in the recreated classroom. Whale stories sit around every corner, so just walking the alleys gives you a feel for the era. A whale museum and an ecology centre are in the same district, so people usually visit them together.
