A pointed rock stands by the breakwater of Jeodong Port, shaped like a candle. Walk out before dawn and the horizon behind it turns red while squid boats chug in. The county holds its New Year sunrise event here. Sunrise time shifts with the season, so check it the night before. On rough-sea days the breakwater can be closed off.
