A nunnery set where Bulyeong Valley narrows against the foot of Mt. Cheonchuksan. The ridge across the pond in front of the temple is said to reflect as a Buddha, hence the name, "Buddha shadow." You walk in from the car park along a forest path, which is half the pleasure. The grounds are small and quiet enough to make you lower your voice.
