On the shore stands a 17.3-metre bronze of Admiral Yi, gazing out to sea. From the park you look across at Tongyeong Port, the fish market and Dongpirang. It faces the same waters as the Hansan naval battle, which makes the story easy to feel. It is calmer than the middle of town. At dusk the harbour lights come on one by one.
