The hill sits right behind Gangguan harbour, with houses stacked up the slope. The murals went on when the neighbourhood was about to be torn down, and that is how it looks today. Each turn of the lane gives you a new wall, and from the top you see the harbour, the turtle ship replica and the hill across the bay. People live here, so keep your voice down. Some walls are repainted every year.
