Built in 1606 by order of King Seonjo, this is the shrine to Admiral Yi Sun-sin. Visitors burn incense in front of the main hall with his tablet. Stone steps, a gate and pines in the courtyard are kept tidy, so the walk is short but quiet. Tongyeong was once called Chungmu, after his posthumous title. Combine it with Sebyeonggwan for a satisfying half day.
