Gukbap shops line up inside a market that has traded for more than a century. Utjang gukbap leaves out tripe and uses only lean pork-head meat and bean sprouts, so the broth comes out clean and mild. The street was picked as one of Korea's 200 food theme streets in 2012. Some places throw in a plate of boiled pork if you order two bowls. Upstairs in the alley is Chungchun Utjang, a space put together by young locals.
