A 5.4 km² reed bed spreads across the mouth of Suncheon Bay. In 2006 it became the first coastal Ramsar wetland in Korea. From the gate you follow boardwalks through the reeds, and if your legs are up to it you climb on to Yongsan Observatory to look down on the creek folding into an S. The reeds turn gold in autumn and black-necked cranes arrive in winter.
