Plum trees were first planted around this hill village in Woldeung-myeon some fifty years ago, and the orchards now cover about 250,000 pyeong. In spring the fields turn white as if snowed on. Visitors can pick plums in summer and make plum kimchi in winter. A small round-domed observatory in the village lets you look at the night sky. Outside blossom season it is a quiet country road.
