A lagoon formed when sand dunes closed off the bay, about 1.2 km² with a shoreline near 7.8 km. It takes its name from Yeongnang, a Silla hwarang who was so taken with the view that he stayed far longer than planned. Beombawi, a rock shaped like a crouching tiger, juts out by the shore and is a five-minute walk from its entrance. On the floating walkway across the water, Seoraksan and Ulsanbawi fill the horizon. You can walk or bike the lakeside path.
