Trail from Sogongwon, off 1137 Seoraksan-ro, Sokcho

Six huge rock spires stand in a row like a folding screen. The legend says the rock was walking to Mt. Kumgang, ran late and sat down in Seoraksan. From Sogongwon the trail is roughly 3.8 km each way, and the last stretch is a long steel staircase. At the top you see Sokcho and the East Sea on one side and the Daecheongbong ridge on the other. Count on about four hours round trip, and pick a day with good weather and fresh legs.
