This is the shop said to have served Sokcho's first jang kalguksu, back in 1994. Knife-cut noodles arrive in a broth spiked with fermented chili paste. The dough is rolled and cut to order, so the bowl takes a while. A friend who wants something milder can take white kalguksu or janchi guksu.
