A white-sand beach about 2 km long backs onto pine woods and walking paths. At its northern end rises Sokcho Eye, a Ferris wheel on the seafront with views of the Seorak peaks by day and the lit-up coast by night. Summer is for swimming; the rest of the year it is for sand walks and sunsets. From the south end you can keep walking onto the Oeongchi coastal path.
