From Sogongwon a wide path leads straight up to the temple. Almost every hike in the area walks past its gate, so people heading for Ulsanbawi or Biseondae stop in on the way. Rocky peaks rise like a folding screen behind the halls, and standing in the yard feels like being inside the mountain. There is no entrance fee, and the temple also runs a temple-stay programme.
