By day every beauty shop hands out samples, and after dark stalls line the middle of the street. You walk with a snack in hand: egg bread, hot dogs, tornado potatoes. Myeongdong Cathedral sits on the hill at the top of the street and is worth a short detour. Shops are used to foreign guests and speak English, Chinese or Japanese. Clothing stores and big Olive Young branches fill the blocks.
