A neighbourhood of small hanok built in the 1920s has become a lattice of cafés and restaurants. Alleys are barely two shoulders wide and every doorway has its own look. Many places let you sit in a hanok courtyard with cake or a traditional sweet. It is a short walk from Jongno 3-ga Station. Go at dusk when the lights come on.
