The stream was dug back out from under an expressway and reopened in 2005. Start at the spiral shell sculpture on Cheonggye Plaza and follow the sound of water. Tall buildings on either side cut the traffic noise, and summer evenings feel noticeably cooler. Stepping stones cross the water and bridge lights come on after dusk. The whole path is over ten kilometres, but an hour from the plaza past Gwangtong and Samil bridges is plenty.
