Cross the road from COEX's glass towers and you are at a temple founded in 794. Between the halls the city noise drops a notch. It keeps woodblocks and Buddhist heritage, and runs programmes such as templestay. Services and prayers still happen here, so keep your voice down. Programmes are booked separately from a plain walk-in visit.
