The Joseon-era walled town runs about 1.8km around. Up on the wall you see courtyards and old government buildings on one side and open fields on the other. A pine-shaded path inside keeps summer walks bearable. It is also where Catholics were persecuted, so people slow down at the old pagoda tree inside. Some days offer hands-on activities such as archery.
