Nammyeong Jo Sik, a Joseon scholar, settled below Mt. Jirisan in his sixties and taught students in this house. A plum tree in the yard is said to be one he planted himself, and it blooms on old branches in spring. The building is small and plain, so a look around is quick. Pair it with the Nammyeong Memorial Hall next door to follow his story.
