Mud-and-stone walls run down every lane, some taller than a person, so you often see only the roof tiles of the old houses behind. The 3.2km of wall is registered cultural heritage. Near the entrance a pair of old pagoda trees stand side by side like a couple, and the Yi Ho-sin house shows its dividing wall between men's and women's quarters. In autumn the persimmon trees turn orange against the grey stone.
