On the slopes of Odaesan, an eight-sided, nine-story stone pagoda stands in the middle of the courtyard. A kneeling bodhisattva statue faces it. In autumn the maples spill over the hall roofs. The quiet is the kind that makes you lower your voice. Walking in through the fir forest path makes the first impression better.
