Seonjaryeong Ridge Trek

선자령

A windmill-ridge walk, famous in snow

⚠ Prepare for blizzards in winter

Address
Starts at Daegwallyeong Village Rest Area, Hoenggye-ri, Pyeongchang

The ridge path climbs from the old Daegwallyeong rest stop to a 1,157 m summit. The start is around 840 m, so the real climb is a little over 300 m. Once you leave the forest the view opens and rows of white wind turbines turn overhead. Winter blizzards make it hard work, yet it is one of the best-known snow treks in Korea. Allow four to five hours round trip.
