Past the ticket booth a path climbs a grassy ridge where sheep are scattered across the slopes. Hold a basket of hay at the fence and they crowd in within seconds. The loop takes about an hour, so it is an easy walk. It is often windy up there, so bring a jacket. In autumn the pasture turns tawny and the sky sits low over it.
