Just south of the Imjin River, the Mangbaedan altar, the Peace Bell and a halted steam locomotive share one plaza. Ribbons on barbed wire and the altar where displaced families bow set the mood. Security tours such as Dora Observatory start here. The gondola and Peace Nuri Park are next door, so half a day fills up easily.
