Memorial to those who fell at Namwon Fortress

This memorial honours the soldiers and townsfolk who died when Namwon Fortress fell in 1597 during the Japanese invasion. A shrine and a memorial hall sit before the burial mound, and you can walk slowly and read the story. It is a quieter side of Namwon than the love tale at Gwanghalluwon, and close to downtown.
