At the top of the pass, one side is Gyeongsang and the other Chungcheong. The gate sits at the highest point with ridges stacked beyond it. It feels like a reward for the walk. The Joryeongsan hiking trail also branches off nearby. You will head back down the way you came, so plan your time.
