The museum gathers belongings and manuscripts of four writers tied to Mokpo: Park Hwa-seong, often called Korea's first woman novelist; Kim Woo-jin, who brought modern drama; Cha Beom-seok, a realist playwright; and the critic Kim Hyun. Standing before the desks, handwriting and personal effects, you get a feel for what they saw in this port city. It takes about an hour and costs 2,000 won.
