The bridge links Aphae and Amtae and opened in April 2019. It is Korea's first to combine cable-stayed and suspension spans. Total length with approach roads is about 10.8 km, with the sea span around 7.2 km. It opened up Amtae, Jaeun, Palgeum and Anjwa to cars, and is the route many take on the way to Purple Island.
