Miryang itineraries
Yeongnamnu to the Snail Deck
A town loop you can do off the KTX with a few short taxi rides: the pavilion over the river, the market, catfish stew, a cliff-top pavilion and a sunset deck, then a whole fried chicken on the way to the station.
Yeongnam Alps and a hanok night
A driving loop deep into Sannae-myeon: a lotus-pond pavilion, a thousand-year-old temple, a cable car up to 1,000 m, feet in an emerald pool, then a barbecue in the yard of a 120-year-old hanok. Day two is a temple on a boulder field and the village where pork soup was born.
Miryang, Tongdosa and Cheongdo
Three days with Miryang at the centre and Tongdosa in Yangsan and Unmunsa in Cheongdo on either side. Little walking; each stop is a temple courtyard, a pond, a stream or a wine tunnel. A pace that suits travelling with parents.
