A Silla-era temple at the foot of Mt. Woleosan, said to be founded in 879. Most of it burned in the Korean War and rebuilding began in 2000. Its treasures include the National Treasure No. 302 hanging Buddhist painting and the Treasure No. 1232 guardian statues. The big banner only hangs outdoors for major ceremonies, so you may not see it. Plan a half day by car from Jinju.
