Said to be founded in the Silla era, this temple sits inside the evergreen forest of Mt. Cheomchalsan. It is not large, but the shade is deep and the world goes quiet as you walk in. Ullimsanbang is right next door, so the two make a good half-day walk. The entrances are easy to mix up, so follow the signs for Ssanggyesa.
