From Changyu Port a winding forest road runs to the island's tip, where a white lighthouse stands on a cliff. Camellia trees crowd both sides of the road. Odd rock formations ring the site, and on a clear day the scattered islets of Jodo stretch out toward distant Chujado. The light has been burning since 1909.
