- Address
- Sinji-Songgwang-ro area, Soyang-myeon, Wanju
A temple on the slope of Jongnamsan. It sits on level ground next to the village, so from the Iljumun gate you see the Geumgangmun, Cheonwangmun and Daeungjeon halls in one straight line, each smaller than the last, drawing the eye to the main hall. It holds several Treasures, including a cross-shaped bell pavilion and the Buddha statues inside Daeungjeon. Cherry trees line the approach in spring, lotus fill the pond by Baengnyeonjeong in summer, and Wibongsa and Wibong Falls are nearby.
