The temple sits on the ridge of Mt. Wibong, inside the old Wibongsanseong fortress walls. You climb a long mountain road to reach it, so little tourist noise gets this far. From the courtyard you see layered ridgelines over the eaves. It is open all the time with no reservation needed, and pairs well with nearby Songgwangsa for a half day.
