This old Confucian school is said to date to King Gongmin of Goryeo. It sits at the edge of the hanok village, so crowds are thin and the big yard has a settled quiet. Autumn is best, when the old ginkgo trees turn yellow. Treat it as a stop on the walk out from the village centre.
