On the 2nd and 7th of each month, a market sets up in the middle of Jeongseon town. Stalls steam with gondre rice, buckwheat jeonbyeong and tadpole noodles, and the old ladies selling mountain greens keep stopping you in your tracks. On other days it runs quietly as a permanent market. Lunch lines get long at midday on market days, so eat a bit early. It is an easy way to start a day in Jeongseon.
