No rental car, just short taxi hops from the airport. A hill where planes skim overhead, a rainbow seawall, and pork skewers in the night market after dark.

East Coast and Sunrise Peak

Follow the coast road from Hamdeok down to Seongsan, catch the sunrise from Seongsan Ilchulbong on day two, then take the ferry to Udo. The east side, done properly.

West to South Loop

Start on the Aewol coast, catch sunset near Hyeopjae, then tea fields at Osulloc, the sea under Sanbangsan, the Jungmun cliffs and the Seogwipo waterfalls. Half the island, counterclockwise.
