This is the most walked route to the summit crater, Baengnokdam. It is 9.6km each way and takes about 4.5 hours up. The first stretch is a gentle forest path; past the Sara Oreum turn-off the trail changes at Jindallebat Shelter, and the last 2km is steep. You have to book a date and time slot in advance, and if you reach the shelter after the cutoff you cannot continue. On a good day the clouds lie below you when you stand at the crater.
