The museum opened in 2010 in the former Incheon branch of the Japanese First Bank. Models and photos show the railway, the mint and other institutions that arrived after the port opened. Exhibits also cover the port's lock gates and the flag of the Korean Empire's Gwangje ship. Visit before walking the Open Port streets and the surrounding buildings start to make sense.
