Cross the road from Exit 1 of Incheon Station and a red paifang gate stands over a street of Chinese restaurants and snack stalls. Shandong families began settling here in 1884, after Incheon opened as a port and a Qing concession was set up. It is the neighbourhood tied to the origin of jajangmyeon, so the museum and the Three Kingdoms mural lane fit naturally into a walk. A jajangmyeon festival fills the street in autumn.
