Baekje's biggest temple ground, restored east pagoda

A vast field holds the ground plan of the largest temple Baekje ever built. A newly rebuilt stone pagoda towers on the east side, while the weathered remains of its western twin stand nearby. There are no halls left, yet the sheer size of the grounds tells you how big the temple was. It is a World Heritage site, so you end up walking slowly. Most visitors pair it with the National Museum next door for a half day.
